Harmony Day at Glenmore

Harmony Day on March 21 is a day of cultural respect for everyone who calls Australia home – from the traditional owners of this land to those who have come from many countries around the world. By participating in Harmony Day activities, we can learn and understand how all Australians from diverse backgrounds equally belong to this nation and enrich it.

At Glenmore we held a parade to acknowledge the different cultures present in our community. The parade began with a Welcome to Country by a community elder and it included a song by our Year 6 choir, musical pieces performed by students, and a parade of our students in their national costume.
We encourage all of our students to treat every day like it is Harmony Day!
Our students perform a number of musical pieces from other countries.
Our students from Nepal in their traditional clothing.

At Glenmore we have Indigenous students, and students from Brazil.
