Harmony Day

Harmony Day story telling

On 20th March, Glenmore State School celebrated Harmony Day.

Harmony Day has become a worldwide event where people from all cultures are celebrated. Students learn tolerance, understanding and an appreciation of the culturally diverse world in which we live. It is particularly important considering that at least 18 different cultures are represented in our student body, here at Glenmore State School.

Students participated in a range of culturally diverse activities including origami, story telling, traditional dancing, writing and drawing.

The students had a great time and would like to thank Mrs Freitag and Mr Harrison for their wonderful organisation and also Mrs Ho and Mrs Sumihara for being guest presenters on the day.
