National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS)

Mrs Barram channelled her inner pirate when she read "I Got This Hat".

National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS) is held annually by the Australian Library and Information Association. Every year a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator, is read simultaneously in libraries, schools, childcare centres, bookshops and many other place around the country.

By facilitating National Simultaneous Storytime we aim to:
  • Promote the values of reading and literacy
  • Promote the value and fun of books
  • Promote an Australian writer and publisher
  • Promote storytime activities in libraries around the country.

This year NSS took place on Wednesday, 25 May. Our Year One students were lucky to have Mr Dunlop read I Got This Hat to them.
