String students win at Eisteddfod


​The String Ensemble won first prize at this year's Rockhampton Eisteddfod Festival.

The four students, Thais, Daniel, Kaylah and Calen played "Roaches in the Pantry" for their ensemble piece. They received at total of 86.5 marks out of 100. The judges comments included:

-      A good opening.  Make sure we can hear Violin one clearly.
-      Good work on the cello.
-      Aim for more range in your dynamics now.
-      Tones blended well and intonation was mostly good.
-      Try to look a bit more animated when playing this.
-      Well done today.
