Glenmore State School welcomes volunteers. Volunteers are regularly needed to help in the school tuckshop and to help with classroom routines. Classroom volunteers may be sought to help with reading groups, changing home readers daily or providing specialist skills. Any person who comes to the school to volunteer must sign in each day in the register provided in the administration office.
Teachers who require class volunteers have a full understanding of volunteer obligations and duties and can brief new volunteers if in doubt. Volunteers who are included in photos or videos taken as part of teaching and learning are required to sign a consent form.
Being a school volunteer is a great way to meet parents from our school community and we encourage you to approach your child’s classroom teacher or the tuckshop convenor for more information.
A blue card is needed by all volunteers who are not parents of students at our school.
